Amplifying Voices With the Women in STEM Conference

"Diversity magnifies outcomes."

On January 17th, McMaster EcoCAR's first-ever Women in STEM Conference was held at the McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC). All members of the Hamilton community, students and general public, were invited to visit MARC and listen to expert speakers.

Starting early in the morning and running to mid-afternoon, the keynote speakers at the conference included Heather Sheardown, Dean of Engineering at McMaster University; Carmela Trombetta, Vice President of RBC; Sahar Kokaly, Software Safety Engineering Leader at General Motors; Amanda Kalhous, Engineering Manager at BrightDrop; and Shreyasi Khopade, Lead Software Development Engineer at Mastercard.

With each perspective bringing unique insight to the table, the conference was a grand community success.
